sometimes you just can't help it....

Hutch does not take naps but sometimes he will fall asleep....that is when he is absolutely out of energy and needs to recharge to take on the world again.  He LOVES life!!!

Discovery Museum

 

The Museum of Discover has been closed for several months for renovations. Tess has been begging to go check it out since it reopened in Januray!  Tess was out of school Tuesday so I surprised them with a trip there.  We stayed there 4 hours!!!  We also got a yearly pass so we can happily return at any time. :)  The kids loved it!  They also liked the special shows one on a a Weasel and the other on Dry Ice.  Hutch liked checking out the Dinosaur room and watching the video on Dinosaurs.  He also loved the play room with the pirate ship and dress up.  It was a fun day with good memories for the kids. 

Foster care

We are getting geared up to finish our final training with THe Call. This weekend we had the chance to keep some friends of ours foster child. We had a blast playing with her. The kids think it is so much fun to have another child in the house. They are going to be a big help when we get our very own foster child. :)

Hutch and Rhett bowling

 While Tess and her daddy were at the Valentine dance, my friend Ellen and I took the little brothers bowling. Oh man, did they have FUN!!!  They absolutely loved it!  It was fun just spending some time with him and his friends....usually its Tess with her friends (which is a blast too).  I'm sure we have more bowling in our future.

Valentine Father Daughter Dance 2012

Tess and her daddy headed to the local father daughter dance the other night.  We had a ball getting ready.  I braided sparkle ribbon in Tess's hair and handmade her a wrist corsage.  She felt really pretty!  Her and her daddy danced the night away.  Tess enjoyed dancing with one of her best pals Lizzy too.  She said she had a blast!

 Hutch has recently had one of those "growth spurts" you hear moms talk about ;).  Needless to say his shirts are too short all of a sudden.  He woke up with ear pain last night...it was really sad.  He was in a lot of pain.  He has had tubes and multiple ear infections in his lifetime but has never complained much of ear pain. He has certainly never woken up with ear pain. Poor little fella.  Started antibiotic so should be getting better soon. :)

Tess has had a loose tooth on top....she went outside on deck and came back in with missing tooth!!!  Talulah had jumped up on Tess and knocked it out!!  Tess was shocked.  She cried a little because it scared her but then she was excited.  She likes how she talks a little funny now.... :}
