Big Girl Room!

Well we transitioned Tess to her Big girl bed a couple of weekends ago. She has done fabulous! Her room is pretty much the same as it has always been (we painted it the same when we moved) with a few added additions. Thank you soooooo much AUNT DONNA for the big girl bed! It is beautiful and Tess loves it! A huge Thank You to GRAND for customizing Tess's Big Girl Bedding. We are so thankful for talented family members and their serving hearts! Tess loves her bedding. Thanks again for taking time to make her room extra special. I added the windmill flower pot and the picture college for her big girl room. We took her baby bedding apart and Grand sewed it around her new bedspread and pillow sham- we are getting our money's worth out of it!! :-)

baby brother!

Here are some pics of the finished baby bedding and Tess painting some pics for his room. Thank you SO MUCH MOM and TINA for making the baby bedding. I LOVE IT! I think he will too!! We really appreciate all of you time and effort that went into making it. It is perfect!!! Thanks for sharing your talents with us!

Tess's latest Pose

Lately, when I ask Tess to smile for the camera this is what she does. She is so silly! Allie, I think she might have gotten this from Ella??? What do you think?

She has my Math skills!

This past weekend we headed up to a cabin on the lil Red River for a girls weekend to celebrate the upcoming marriage of my good friend Shannon. We had a lingerie shower for her, ate lots of cake, talked, laughed, and the highlight of the evening was when we visited the restaurant at the resort. We had a funny waitress (the word funny is also known as Flighty for this story). When we walked in, she asked me and my friend Georgia (who is 36 weeks prego) if we were all in a sorority. It was sooo Funny! We said "yeah, we are pregnant sorority girls." Ordering and getting our meal is a completely different story, but our bill cracked us up the most. Every one's bill looked like this, even the bills that were over $20 had a $1 tax added. I hope the IRS doesn't audit this place.

Fire Department

We recently visited the local Fire Department with our Mommy and Me group. The kids had a blast. No kidding, the fire truck got called away 2x while we were there.....we spent a lot of the time waiting for the truck to get back. It was crazy! Fun though..

Mother's Day Out

So, I finally started taking Tess to MDO. She has been going one day a week and she really likes it. She is not big on the nap time part, but other than that she loves playing with her friends. She is growing up so fast. She will be 3 years old in June. CRAZY! She is so excited about her "Dirtday."

Baby, baby!

Well, mark it on you calenders....May 28th is going to be the BIG day. I am scheduled for a c-section at 11am that morning. I am now 32 weeks and I am counting down the days to delivery. My mom and sister have been working on the bedding for the nursery and I can't wait to have it finished. It is going to be so cute! My sis sent me a pic of a pillow that she finished this weekend and I was SO impressed! She is so talented! We have the baby room all painted and we got Tess's big girl bed this past weekend. This coming weekend we will try to make the big switch a roo! I will let you know how it goes. :-) We still are not certain of a name. I know many of you have been wondering what we are going to name the baby. We have it narrowed down to 3 names but sometimes I think of a new one and add it to the list. Boy names are sooo hard for me! I am still up for suggestions....it's getting closer. YEAH!

I guess it wasn't a PRANK!

Okay, so let me tell you what happened and what didn't happen today. My good friend Krysta called me this morning to ask me if I would be interested in being interviewed by Channel 7 News for a story on houses and energy use, etc. Her sister-in-law is a reporter for Channel 7 and had called her and asked her to do it but she said she was too nervous. Therefore, I got the call. Well, Kristin Fisher from channel 7 called me to set the interview up etc. The more this story expanded the more my mind started to think.... this is some huge b-day prank. I mean, this is just coming too close to my b-day and things just sounded a little fishy. Tomorrow I turn 30....so it made sense to me. I thought, I am having to clean my own house for my own party..... Jay is trying to get me home, ready, and the house clean for my party (the news team was set-up to come to the house at 4pm). As the day went on I convinced myself that this was all for my surprise getaway or surprise party.....something. I thought, they can't fool me. I called Krysta and my friend Shannon and told them I knew this was a b-day prank and it was stressing me out trying to get my unfinished house clean. We just moved into our house 4 weeks ago and to tell you the truth it is not ready for a news crew or a surprise party. I rushed around the house and cleaned 3 main rooms and got myself ready, all the while not being a bit nervous about some "fake" interview. Jay came home early (how convenient ... I thought) Okay, so my mind was going in all directions. Jay promised me on our marriage that it was NOT a joke and that I need to be ready to go on camera. I didn't believe him. He even got the video camera out to film channel 7 news pulling up to our house- I thought..he wants to see the surprise look on my face when all of my friends show up to take me away for the weekend. Well, was I WRONG! The news team DID show up and I am STILL here in Maumelle (not on some exotic weekend trip getting massages and manicures) I guess I pulled one over on myself.......no surprise 30th party. So, about the interview....it will air April 24th on the 10pm news. Earlier in the day when I was stress free about the "fake" interview, Jay kept trying to get me to be serious and believe him. I told him, well if this is for real I am sure it will air at 5pm when no body watches the news. Not only is it going to be one of the first things to air during what she called "sweeps" week but it is also the first night that "Gray's Anatomy" will be airing...think people will be watching T.V.?? Maybe not. Anyway, this story is much funnier when I tell it in person. I just hope I don't sound like a hick and look stupid in front of the state of Arkansas. The funny thing is, most people know how much I would eat something like this up. I have been waiting for my 10 seconds of fame my whole life, I just didn't know it was going to come when I am 8 months prego and swollen like a dead fish. It should be very humbling (not to mention embarrassing) ....especially if the camera adds an extra 10 pounds on top of the 30 I have already gained. Lovely....... What a funny day! Here are some pics.

Yes....it's black....well not so much anymore!

Beforethe infamous "Black" room
So, a couple of weeks ago we painted our dining room black. Everyone that saw it said, "wow, it sure it black!" (not in a positive, "I love it!" kinda a way)I kept telling everyone that they had to have "vision" and that everything was going to be okay after I got it finished. Actually, I thought the black looked much better than the color that was painted in the room to begin with. So, yesterday it finally came together. We had two awesome ladies come and put a metallic faux finish on it. It really looks great! I can't wait to get all the furniture and things in there. I think it is going to be very dramatic.....which I LOVE!
The Faux team!
Finshed wall! I love it!
