Snow Skiing Trip

We experienced our first trip away from the kids this past week. We went with our friends Paige and Andrew snow skiing in Wolf Creek. We were gone 6 days and 5 nights. J's parents kept the kids without any problems. In fact, we were so busy and tired that the week flew by. I mean, we had a blast!!! We flew into Albuquerque,NM and rented a car. We drove up to Santa Fe and ate lunch and shopped around the square. Then, we headed to Pagoasa Springs, where we stayed. I have tons of pics and I had a hard time narrowing them down...here are a few.

Thanks Paige and Andrew for a wonderful time! Y'all kept us entertained!!!! And a BIG HUGE thank you to Jay's parents for taking such good care of the kids while we were away. We love you tons!

Easter at Mom's

This past weekend we headed to my hometown of El Dorado to celebrate Easter a lil' early (b/c somebody is going on a cruise without their preicous grown kids...MOM! DAD!!) boo hoo. We had a great time. My mom made me a yummy Strawberry cake for my upcoming birthday. It was awesome! The kids hunted Easter eggs and Madison won the big $5 prize. Good job, madie moo! Hutch showed his first true signs of stranger anxiety... and loved his mama more and more! Thanks for a great weekend Smith and Hailey family! thanks for the pics, Tina!

Camera Cord?

I am so bummed. I have lost my camera cord and can't post any new pics. Last week we went snow skiing and I have tons of neat pics but no way to post them. We have been to Best Buy 2x and have not gotten the right cord yet. Stay tuned...lots of new post coming your way asap. Have a great weekend!

Buttons, anyone?

We have just completed our first "springlike" craft. Of course, i can't take credit for this craft idea (let me just make that a permanent disclaimer!) I got this idea from a magazine. We recently potted a small flowering plant for Tess's room. She adores it. Today, we took left over buttons from around the house (I did purchase the small buttons at the dollar store- a big package) and threaded them through floral wire to spice up our lil plant. I think our plant is much happier with it's new accessories.

Thank Goodness for GIRLS NIGHT! I got to hang out with some of my fave girls the other night at Cafe Bosa Nova. The first time I have ever been there.....wonderful! Let's go again sooner than later! Love those girls.... (hey Paige, aren't you glad we didn't eat Chinese food?)
