Catching Frogs and Painting Rocks!

That's the life.... We had a wonderful time with my sister and her three girls this past week. They came to spend a few days of there spring break with us. We played at the park, painted rock animals, caught frogs, ate and played at Chic-fil-a, and made homemade cinnamon rolls (well my sister did, but I supervised!!) Tess had a wonderful time and was VERY sad to see them go. Hey, Hailey girls, come back again and stay a few more days!!! Thanks for spending your SB with us! We miss you already!

Easter Pics

We had a great Easter this year! Tess really enjoyed hunting eggs, going to church, and seeing the Easter bunny. Molly and Bailey attended the Easter Egg hunt with us....we were so happy they came to stay with Grand....come back very soon! Easter weekend we went to my parents house. Here are a few pics from our festivities!

"Flower Farm"

We went to the Daffodil field today to take some pictures with our good friends Noah, Ally and Shannon. We had a great time and stopped by MC Donald's for some lunch and a little playtime before the photo session. Here are a few of our pics! Thank you God for a beautiful day today!!!

ADDENDUM: After Jay got home and saw these pictures he said "Why is she holding his hand in all the pictures....I hope she is not "Boy Crazy!"" (Poor Tess........the teen years are going to be hard staying in your room all the time and not being able to go anywhere :-))

Molly and Bailey....

Tess's first cousins! Tess loves when Molly and Bailey come to stay at Grand's house for a week. They have so much fun together. Tess thinks she is as big as they are and she wants to do everything they do. Tonight when when we said our bedtime prayers we were thanking God for Daddy and before I had a chance Tess pipes in and says "and Baywee and Mollwee." It was pretty sweet. This past weekend we went to an Easter Egg hunt at Grand and Pap's church. Here are a few pics from the festivities.

The End of a Love Affair!

Well, this weekend Tess took all of her pacifiers and gave them to Chucky Cheese. It was time....but really kinda sad. She loved those things! She willingly gave them up as we entered the door in exchange for a cool new present. At the end of the night, she did go and ask for them back one time but that is it. She cried a little bit the first night but then slept all night no problems. We kept her really busy this weekend to help her keep her mind off of it...going to the movies, 2 easter egg hunts, going to Wal-Mart, etc. She asked for them tonight one time and I reminded her that we gave them to Chucky Cheese....she wanted to go to CC and get them back. I got her interested in something else and she hasn't asked for them anymore. She has done much better and Jay and I expected. I still feel bad.....she loved them so much.

happy birthday, Noah!

We had so much fun celebrating Noah's 3rd birthday last weekend. Tess had a blast! Noah's mommy is my best friend....we been friends since the beginning of college. We have so many wonderful memories together from sorority and OT school and now we are making new ones with our families. Thanks for your friendship, Shannon! I love ya!

Tess and Presli!

On snow day #2 Tess's good friend, Presli came over to play in the snow. They were so cute together! Afterwards we went to Arby's to eat lunch. Fun times! Our girls are growing up so quickly!

Kool Kiddie!

Where does she get these outfits? I promise this is not a staged pic.....just pure Tesser! I was getting ready in my room and I came into the living room and this is what I found watching the Doddle Bops!

mmmmm..chick-fil-a!

Taking a chicken break from the paint fumes at our house! Doesn't chick-fil-a have the best atmosphere for children? I just love that restaurant (so does everyone else I know)! They also have the most awesome play area for kids. Two thumbs up for the owners and inventors of the original chicken sandwich!!

Fun in the Snow!

We were sooo happy to finally have some snow last week. However, Tess had to sit and think about it for a minute before she finally decided to go play in it. She loved catching the snow flakes on her tongue! Note to self-- We need to buy waterproof snow clothes for next year. Tess got really wet and she said "my hands cold!" After that she was ready to come in.....I don't blame her. I really wished we had been back home, so we could of gone 4-wheeler riding in the snow (now that would have been fun!). Oh well, I guess some things you just don't get to do when you live in a big city. Boo hoo.

Progress...

(27 weeks)

Jay has been working hard finishing the house. Here are some pics of him painting the trim in the office. Tess sat and supervised him and caused a little trouble while she was at it. The office is now painted red with all the furniture in place. I will have to take updated pics soon. I am still behind on blogging from the lost computer and camera cords.

Our Backyard!

We have around 8-10 deer that visit our backyard everyday(click on the pic to enlarge it- they are kinda hard to see). They are so pretty to watch. Tess loves to see the deer. We feel like we are in the woods even though we are in the middle of a subdivision. :-)

P.S. For some reason, after I post these pics we may have new found friends this fall that want to stay with us....like my sis who shot a deer off her backporch last Fall! (you go girl!) Our deer are off limits!!!

Work...work....work!

My super sister working her mathmatical magic in the future nursery.
Big mama trying to unpack...where did we get all of this stuff?
My awesome brother-in-law laying our hardwoods
My wonderful dad and Scott working hard!
My Dad (who can fix, make and do anything) working on our staircase
Jay's super sweet, hardworking dad getting ready to paint...paint..paint
Jay's mom, who has such a servant's heart, is busy watching our rowdy girl, Tess
Jay and his dad bringing supplies into the house
Here are a few pics of our family working on the house! Fun times! We have gotten A LOT done. Just a few more boxes, a couple more contractors to come, and a little more painting and then we will be all done. Thanks FAMILY for all of your help and continued help during this big transition.

Packing up!

Let me tell you....packing up with a two year is almost impossible! Lucky enough, I had a lot of help from family that made this task easier. These are some pics of Tess and the FUN she had during our move.

Movers Tip: A box can occupy a 2 year old for at least 15 mintues....maybe longer if Max and Ruby is on T.V.
Tess posing in the new house. She asked me to take her picture. Silly girl!
